As Professor of Social Gerontology in the Population Health Sciences Institute, Newcastle University, and with a research interest in issues relating to social exclusion in later life, I co-lead the University’s new Centre for Ageing and Inequalities. I am also current President of the British Society of Gerontology (2019-2022).
